My career in the food industry began at Woolworths at the age of 15 . From retail I moved into a territory sales role with Cottee’s Foods which is where my relationship with the South Australian customer base began. After 7 years with Cottee’s I moved on to a role with Mars Confectionery, where I spent 11 years moving through several sales and management roles, including Territory Manager, Account Manager, Regional Sales Manager SA/WA and Field Sales Manager.

The opportunity to set up The Distributors Adelaide in 2006 was a chance for me to apply an accumulation of 18 years industry experience with a genuine passion to offer the Adelaide route trade a relevant and exciting product range, speed to market on new products and superior customer service.

I started working in the food industry at a young age, working at my local deli in my School Holidays at the age of 12. From school I joined a bank, then progressed to my own deli for 6 years, and then joined an International Foods Company as a sales representative. I worked as State Sales Manager for Don Smallgoods, and then moved to Sydney to work as National Sales Manager for Addis Australia. I moved back to Adelaide to raise my family, and had a short stint with a Pharmaceutical Company, prior to setting up my own Water Distribution and Logistics business, which I ran for 10 years. I joined TDA in April of 2009 as General Manager, and have enjoyed every minute of it.

For the past  7 years I have been involved in the wholesale business. I have been lucky enough to be working within two very successful local wholesale teams.
My first two years in the wholesale industry I was employed as a Territory Manager and last 5 years I have been based as an Account manager/Sales Manager employed by 2 of SA’S largest and fastest growing wholesale businesses in Australia “THE DISTRIBUTORS”.
Having a vast knowledge about small businesses has been a huge help in recognizing how our customers operate across the state as our clientele are more often than not owned and operated by local Proprietors.
For the last 7 years I have had dealings with most if not all of our customers on our books from IGA’S,FOODWORKS,DELI’S,SNACKBARS,UNIVERSITIES,P&C SITES,FRANCHISES,CONVIENINCE STORES MAJOR GROUPS AND NATIONAL ACCOUNTS and it has led me to meet most of our clientele.
The distributors is a great place to work and it will be my home for many more years to come.

  

The Distributors Adelaide.....

are the largest independent wholesaler of confectionery, snack and drink products in South Australia. It is 100% Family owned and operated. They conduct their business from a modern warehouse facility on Bedford St , Gillman , servicing the whole of Adelaide and surrounding areas including Victor Harbor, Adelaide Hills, Clare Valley and The Barossa .

The Distributors Adelaide is a member of a 42 warehouse National Buying Group, with access to over 150 suppliers and manufacturers both here and overseas.

Some of our major supplier partners are Arnott's, Campbell's, Cadbury, Nestle, Mars, Wrigleys, Pepsico, Snack Brands Australia, Red Bull, Unilever, Schweppes, and Proctor & Gamble, amongst many others.

Some of our major trading partners are Mobil, Caltex, United Petroleum, Liberty, BP, The Peregrine Corporation (On the Run), Wallis Cinemas, Blockbuster Video and Video Ezy.

TDA also boast a wide and varied range of Novelty Confectionery lines, that is constantly being reviewed and updated. They also market confectionery under their own brand name of Southern Cross.

TDA employ over 45 staff, including 9 full time sales professionals, reporting to the Sales Director, with 8 Delivery Vehicles.

TDA provide promotional activity to the route trade with products such as Pricebusters, Sweet Surprises, Distributor Dollars, and fortnightly case deals on selected lines. TDA also runs the Advantage Customer Loyalty program, which adds value to their offer.

TDA offer speed to Market with new products, with the largest range available. TDA also offer Competitive Pricing, and Category Management.
